Huge List of Items That Goodwill Will NOT Accept at Minnesota Stores
My house in Minnesota had a major transformation last year. For some reason, the person before us decided that off-white carpet was a good thing. This carpet was EVERYWHERE and with three kids and 2 large dogs, I can verify that this carpet wasn't anywhere close to a shade of white. It was disgusting.
I decided that it was time we forked over some cash and get new flooring throughout 1,400 square feet. This new carpet was going in 2 bedrooms, a walk-in closet, a large hallway, and very large living room area - all full of stuff! But before that went in, I decided that all of the rooms were going to get painted too.
Over 74% of Americans take on a decluttering project each year. I did that for every room that we repainted and recarpeted...and it was exhausting! I felt like I looked through thousands of items, which might be true since most of us have about 300,000 items in our homes.
As I'm putting our house back together, I decided that nothing is going to be allowed to stay if it doesn't have a home itself. I started filling up the back of my SUV to drop items off at Goodwill and while I was sitting in the drop-off line, I saw that there is a list of stuff they will not take.
Before you fill up your car, go through the list below so you know what can be donated and what can't.
