La Crosse, WI (KROC AM News) - Residents in southeast Minnesota will enjoy two more days in the 70s. But a big change - a big wet change - is lurking in the shadows.

The streak of high temperatures in the 70s began Tuesday and will continue through Sunday. Temperatures this warm are normally experienced in September.

It has also been dry. The last time the region had any precipitation was Oct 25th. That streak will likely end Monday when a storm system is expected to hit the region.

The National Weather Service says rain is expected to develop Monday and continue into Tuesday, possibly changing to light snow as temperatures fall.

Some areas in southeast Minnesota - including Rochester - could receive 1 - 2 inches of rain from this system.
