Glenville, MN (KROC-AM News) - An Albert Lea teenager was arrested last night following an alcohol-related crash that killed another Albert Lea teen and severely injured another juvenile passenger.

A news release from the Freeborn County Sheriff's Office says 18-year-old Dominik Nikko Boots-Ringeon was driving a car that left a roadway and crashed into a tree around 7:30 p.m. The crash occurred along a rural road just north of Glenville.

Five people were in the vehicle and two of them were ejected in the crash. The news release says 17-year-old James Amarosa III was pronounced dead at the scene, while 15-year-old Cameron Cunningham of Twin Lakes was airlifted to a hospital by Mayo One with life-threatening injuries.

The two other passengers,19-year-old Shelby Watkins of Austin and 17-year-old Chase Garza of Albert Lea suffered minor injuries.

Boots-Ringeon was taken into custody and charged with criminal vehicular homicide and driving after revocation. Officials say the crash remains under investigation.
