One of the most popular tractor shows in the area starts today in Spring Valley. The 35th annual Root River Antique Historical Power Association antique engine and tractor show runs Friday through Sunday featuring Cockshutt as well as all makes of lawn and garden tractors. Show highlights include demos of spinning, butter churning, threshing, rosemaling and more.

Tractor parades are held each morning at 11. Antique tractor pull tonight at 6. Music Friday and Saturday with Sisters and Company. This year there's even a state-sanctioned pedal tractor pull for the little ones Saturday at 1. Flea market, cowboy church and games for all ages round out the weekend. Admission is just $10 for the whole weekend. You can't beat a deal like that! I've never attended the show, but I've driven by the site in years past and they really pack the tractors in. Check out the complete schedule of events here. Show site is on Highway 63 in Spring Valley next to Deer Creek Speedway.
