Stuffed Foods in Wilmington, Massachusetts, is recalling over 1,1800 pounds of a Mac & Cheese Bites that were shipped nationwide. Why? Because they may not be Mac and Cheese Bites at all.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), what's really in the package of Mac and Cheese Bites is Buffalo Style Chicken Poppers that contain soy, a known allergen, which is not declared on the label.

You may think, "I'd notice in a heartbeat, why recall 'em?" Because even if you notice, you could eat them and if you're allergic to soy, it's bad news. It's not listed anywhere on the ingredients.

Here's how you identify the problematic product...

  • 9.75-ounce carton containing a plastic bag with 12 pieces of “Mac & Cheese Bites” and lot code 20272 or package code BEST IF USED BY: MAR 22 2022 on the end panel of the carton.

The problem was discovered after a customer complained. Maybe by saying, "Hey, you got your Buffalo Style Chicken Poppers in my Mac and Cheese Bite." No matter what they said, there have been "no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider."

If they're in your freezer, toss them or bring them back to where you bought them. IF you have questions, contact David Robinson, President, Stuffed Foods LLC, at (978) 203-0370.
