Winona, MN (KROC-AM News) - The body of a missing boater in the Winona area has been recovered.

The Winona County Sheriff’s office received a 911 call around 7:30 PM Friday about a “boat in distress” near the Prairie Island spillway on the Mississippi River. First responders arrived to find one person had been rescued by another boater. They were told a 63-year-old Winona man was missing. The two men had been fishing.

According to WXOW-TV, the man’s body was recovered around 8:00 PM Saturday.
