Civic Center Parking Ramp in Downtown Rochester to Open Wednesday Morning
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Civic Center Parking Ramp in downtown Rochester will be open as of 5 a.m. Wednesday.
According to a news release from the City of Rochester, crews worked Tuesday to fix a heater in a skyway-level ramp lobby and repair the sprinkler system which was damaged when the pipes froze. Clean-up will be complete and gates will be open at 5 a.m.
Monday, the City closed the ramp after a sprinkler pipe in the east hallway of the ramp froze and burst, creating icy conditions in the hallway and requiring the water to be turned off to the facility. Contract customers that use the ramp were able to park in other city ramps until the Civic Center Parking Ramp reopened Wednesday morning.
