The Minnesota Department of Health is working to determine high risk close contacts to the individuals and will be notifying them directly. Wabasha County Public Health is working with the Department of Health to set up testing. If you have been notified that you have had an exposure you should self-monitor for signs and symptoms and quarantine yourself for 14 days from the exposure dates. Scroll down for symptoms and numbers to call for testing.

What caused the spike? Wabasha County Public Health says prolonged summer activities and social gatherings were the cause for the increase.

Many people have been gathering with their friends and family to enjoy summer activities. The more people that an individual interacts with at an event or gathering and the longer the interaction lasts, the higher the potential risk of becoming infected with COVID-19 and spreading it to others. We need to make sure that we are doing our best to slow the spread.
