Creatures of the Night Event is Back at Quarry Hill Nature Center in Southeast Minnesota
Finding fun, Halloween events that are family-friendly can sometimes be a challenge. You want a fun event so your kids can wear their costumes more than once, but you don't want something too scary that traumatizes them.
The perfect mix of fun and spooky awaits your family this year at the Creatures of the Night event at Quarry Hill Nature Center in Rochester, Minnesota. A night of spooky fun awaits you as fun characters and animals join you on your walk throughout the park. This year an opossum, worm, and flying squirrel will all be joining you to share their story about their life as a creature of the night. Parents, don't worry, the animals on this hike are friendly and funny and have just a touch of fright.

Everything You Need to Know about the Creature of the Night Event in Rochester, Minnesota
- Dates: October 18th and October 19th at Quarry Hill Nature Center
- Time Slots: 4:20 pm, 4:40 pm, 5:00 pm, 5:20 pm, 5:40 pm, 6:00 pm, 6:20 pm, 6:40 pm, 7:00 pm, 7:20 pm, 7:40 pm, 8:00 pm
- Event is outdoors and will be held in light rain, snow, or cold.
- The event includes a 1/2 mile self-guided walk along an unpaved trail that is not stroller or wheelchair friendly.
- Pets are not allowed.
- If the time slot is in the dark, participants are encouraged to bring a flashlight. Cell phone lights do not work well for this.
- A treat will be delivered at the end of the night for all participants to take home.
