The Minnesota State Fair announced that two more huge shows have been added to the Grandstand Concert Series this summer in Jim Gaffigan and Diana Ross.

Jim Gaffigan: The Fun Tour at the Minnesota State Fair

Jim Gaffigan brings his hilarity to the stage on Tuesday, August 30th at 7 pm. Gaffigan is a six-time Grammy-nominated comedian, actor, writer, producer, two-time New York Times best-selling author, three-time Emmy-winning top touring performer, and a multi-platinum-selling recording artist.

A very impressive list from Gaffigan, who is known for his unique brand of humor around the world, which largely revolves around his observations on life.

Gaffigan was in Rochester in 2021 and the reviews were fantastic. If you haven't seen the "Hot Pocket" comedian, he is worth checking out.

Tickets range from $94, $79, $59, $39 (all reserved seating). Tickets go on sale on Friday, March 11th at 10 a.m.

Diana Ross with Special Guest Naturally 7 at the Minnesota State Fair

Diana Ross will take the stage with special guest Naturally 7 on Saturday, Sept. 3rd at 7pm. Ross is an icon. The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences celebrated her remarkable career in 2012 with its highest honor, the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

From her roots in Detroit, she helped create the Motown cultural movement from her string of hits as leader of The Supremes to her landmark solo career. Ross has shaped the sound of popular music. Her incredible career spans over 50 years.

She has 14 Top 10 albums, 18 No. 1 songs, a career total of 70 hit singles, and music sales exceeding 100 million units around the world. Her portrayal of Billie Holliday in the classic film “Lady Sings the Blues” resulted in an Oscar nomination. As a stage actress, she won a Tony Award for her one-woman show, “An Evening with Diana Ross.”

Other career milestones include induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences Heroes Award, NAACP Image Award for Entertainer of the Year, Billboard’s Female Entertainer of the Century award, Soul Train Lifetime Achievement Award, and the American Music Award Lifetime Achievement Award, among countless others.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, March 11th at 11 a.m. Tickets range from $60, $51, $34 (all reserved seating).

These shows join the 2022 Grandstand lineup including Zac Brown Band: Out In The Middle Tour with special guest Robert Randolph Band on September 2nd. Tickets are still available for that show. Additional Grandstand artists will be announced periodically between now and the Minnesota State Fair.
