It’s pretty rare to see an artist now a-days with any degree of longevity. The majority of singers and musicians that you hear on the radio typically have their fifteen minutes of fame, and then they’re yesterday’s news. But that wasn’t always the case.

There was a golden era of music just a few decades ago when artists had integrity, and were in for the long haul. They sure don’t make ‘em like they used to. Among all the greats that emerged from that era, there’s one that stands out in particular.

I’m talking about the man, the legend - Elton John. “Sir” Elton John to be exact. He’s been pumping out hit songs for nearly 50 years. “Rocket Man” “Candle In The Wind” and “Tiny Dancer” are timeless classics in my book. Not to mention “Circle Of Life” from “The Lion King” soundtrack. Unfortunately, he stated last year that he would be retiring, and announced his “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour.

Luckily for we Minnesotans, he’s playing back to back shows at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul on June 15th and 16th. Both shows start at 8 pm and tickets start at $215 and are on sale now. Don’t miss out, it’ll be your last chance to this legend.
