Known as The Clemens Mansion, this Airbnb has everything! According to the Airbnb page "The French provincial home radiates with mystery and majesty. The Mansion boasts 11 bedrooms / 10 baths, gym, library, living room, theater room, and a gourmet kitchen."

A Small Seed Company Started It All

The story behind the mansion is pretty incredible, too. The original owner, Leslie Clemens, started a seed company in the 1950s. The company grew quickly in the 60s and 70s, and eventually, Clemens sold the seed company to Pfizer in a billion-dollar transaction.

That sale was in 1974, and after the sale, Clemens built the mansion, which at the time included a 48,000 gallon heated indoor swimming pool. That pool is now covered and houses the indoor gymnasium.

The estate was completed in 1977 and at the time was the largest single-family home ever built in Iowa.
