The reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year just released 55 dates for his new Gather Again Tour but you won't find Minnesota on the list.

I'm hoping that Eric Church doesn't have anything against Minnesota. And I don't have any real proof that Mr. Church has a beef with the North Star State-- other than the fact that there isn't one single Minnesota tour date out of the 55 already booked for his upcoming tour, of course-- which is where the snub comes in.

Looking at the stops already booked for his Gather Again Tour, which kicks off later this fall and runs into the winter of 2022, there seem to be dates at venues that completely surround Minnesota, but none actually within our borders. For instance, there's the October 1st, 2021 date at the Alerus Center in Fargo, North Dakota, and the October 2nd, 2021 date north of the border in Winnipeg, Canada. But none in nearby Minnesota.

Similarly, in January of 2022, the Gather Again Tour takes a swing NEAR Minnesota, playing dates in both Lincoln, Nebraska and Sioux Falls, South Dakota, but, again, there are no dates booked here in the Bold North. Later in February, the same thing happens, with tour stops booked in Omaha, Des Moines and Kansas City but bupkus for the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

The final 'insult' (again, I get that I'm being a bit dramatic here) is set to take place next March, when the tour once again heads to the Midwest, stopping in Chicago, St. Louis and playing not one but TWO dates at the Resch Center in Green Bay. But look for a date here in Minnesota, and you'll find... nothing.

Of course, I'm kidding. I know Mr. Church doesn't have anything against us here in Minnesota (well, I guess I don't KNOW that for sure, but I'm guessing that's the case) and that's it's just a matter of the dates of the tour not lining up with the availability of venues here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

Besides, it was just a little over two years ago that Mr. Church played TWO dates here at Target Center here in Minnesota, on February 8th and 9th, 2019, during his Double Down Tour.  So, who knows, maybe he'll add even more dates to his new tour in the future-- perhaps even one here in Minnesota. We can hope, can't we?
