St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - Flu activity in Minnesota continued to decline during the past week, but the Minnesota Department of Health continues to rate the overall activity as “regional.”

The department’s weekly report on influenza activity shows drops in most of the indicators tracked, including the number of flu-related hospitalizations and probable outbreaks in schools. There were only two outbreaks reported by schools throughout Minnesota over the past week.

The report shows there was a slight increase in the number of confirmed outbreaks in long-term care facilities, of which there were only five since the department reported four outbreaks a week ago.
