Just what everybody wanted to hear, right? More rain (and some of it heavy) is headed Rochester's way this week.

I don't know about you, but it sure seems to me like we haven't seen the sun in weeks, and now comes the good news that there's even MORE rain headed our way to start out this week.

Our backyard over at palatial St. John Manor has been a soggy, muddy mess for quite a while now-- you can tell by how many times I've had to clean muddy dog prints from Asher off our downstairs carpet. And it looks like it's going to stay that way too.

The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities posted a forecast graphic Sunday that says Minnesota is in for even more rain through Wednesday of this week. "A series of storm systems will across the Upper Midwest starting Sunday and continuing through mid-week. There is the potential for receiving several inches of rain before drier weather returns Thursday," the post noted.

And, they're not kidding, either. Check out that graphic below-- it says Rochester and southeast Minnesota could seen between 3 to 4 inches of rain between now and Wednesday. Yikes. That's a pretty good amount of rain!

And, yes, even though it sounds like the snowfall totals we see in a winter forecast, it's still rain-- and not snow. Which, I guess is ONE thing we can be thankful for, even in a soggy forecast like this!
