The Grand Meadow Superlarks knocked off the Waubun Bombers 35-0 in the 9-Man semifinals at U.S Bank Stadium this morning.

Christopher Bain carried the load for the Superlarks, as he scored three touchdowns on 23 carries for 173 yards.

Bain was impressive throughout, but it all got started in the first quarter when the Brenn Olson connected with Jacob Oehlke for a 55-yard touchdown. The big play set the tone for the Superlarks, as they were able to shutout the Bombers from Waubun.

Bain, who is a finalist for Mr. Football, scored on a 62-yard run as he carried a Waubun defender into the end zone with him. He added other scores of seven and 15 yards. Zach Myhre capped off the Grand Meadow scoring, punching in a nine-yard run, making the final score 35-0.

The Superlarks were able to stuff the Bombers passing game, as their quarterback Peyton Syverson finished 11-of-27 for 90 yards. Grand Meadow also picked off the Bombers quarterback twice.

Grand Meadow's defense played just as well, if not better than their offense, as they allowed only 149 total yards. The Bombers struggled to move the ball, and the Superlarks were able to take advantage of that.

The Superlarks (13-0) have now won 49 straight games, the longest active streak in the state. Grand Meadow will go for a fourth-consecutive state championship, as they take on Cleveland/Immanuel Lutheran on Friday, November 25. Kickoff is set for 10 a.m. and you will be able to hear the action on KFIL!
