Rochester area businesses interested in applying for assistance being made available by the City, Olmsted County, and Rochester Public Utilities are invited to participate in a webinar sponsored by the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce.

The virtual event is part of the Chamber's Path Forward webinar series and is titled, "New Grants Available for Small Business: Learn How to Apply for a Piece of the Pie." It will take place from 10 until 11 AM on Monday.

A news release says the Chamber organized the webinar to make sure local small businesses are aware of the availability of the grants and assistance, which will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Olmsted County recently announced it will distribute $4 million to local small businesses and $1 million to local non-profit groups using funds it received through the federal CARES Act. RPU is distributing $500,000 in utility assistance, and the city has allocated $500,000 for grants to the holders of liquor licenses or other licenses issued by Rochester.

Representatives from RPU, the City Clerk's office, and Olmsted County will be participating in the free webinar, which is free and open to everyone. Registration is required at https://bit.ly/PFWNewGrantsReg.
