Is This Online Video Why Owatonna’s Dairy Queen Is Closed?
What would you do if someone did this to your food order? An online video shared to social media from Sunday seems to show employees at what appears to be the Owatonna Dairy Queen approaching the front door of the store on Bridge Ave and asking the customer if this was her order and then proceeding to dump the contents of the bag on the ground. The video ends with the customers kicking at the empty bag and falling onto the concrete.
The video was taken of a Snapchat video by Andrea Boxrucker and shared to Facebook. The caption to go along with the shared video by Boxrucker captures her thoughts on the 'customer service' "I don’t know what the hell is wrong with ppl but if I did this at my job I would not have one!! Owatonna DQ!!".
A search of the store online shows that the Bridge Ave Dairy Queen is now listed as being temporarily closed. Is this video the reason for that?
UPDATE: Owatonna Dairy Queen Ownership Group Investigating After Viral Video
Even the official Dairy Queen website lists the location as being closed with a message stating that it has closed for the season.
Online reviews from RestaurantGuru.com have been mostly negative and reference 'children' numerous times in the last several months. Are these the same 'children' from the video?
Nothing but disrespectful children working there' will never go back.- Wolfie the Jester
Multiple times have had to wait 10+ minutes with no cars in line only to pull around to the window and have the staff, or I should say children, glare at me and ignore me or reluctantly take my order and receive glares the whole time. This place is a joke. - Travis
No matter what may have happened before the video was taken, this definitely isn't how you should treat a customer.
