Ice cream. It is one of those treats I could probably eat every single day of the week and not get sick of it. Now, my body would probably dislike it very, very much, but my soul would love me.

One of the greatest sounds as a kid is the music coming from an ice cream truck. It is a mad dash to get some cash and then make sure you are able to get in line in time so you can find your favorite treat. Once you get it, you better eat it fast or it'll melt all over you. It is a staple of summer in Minnesota!

Ahhhhh, the good ol' days.

SIDEBAR: Once I had to go to my brother's house to pick something up. It just so happened that an ice cream truck was in his neighborhood and there was a line of 5-7-old-kids from the neighborhood in line to get a treat.....and my 29-year-old brother. He fit right in.

So What Is Minnesota's Most Popular Ice Cream Truck Treat?

The website SeaSide Vacations actually dove into this and found that Malt Cups were the top choice of treat from an ice cream truck in Minnesota.

To find out what each state's favorite treat was, SeaSide Vacations used a list of 24 popular ice cream truck treats and explored Google from there.

"..we explored online search interest in frozen favorites. Using a list of 24 popular ice cream truck treats, we explored Google search trends over the last 12 months for all 50 states plus the District of Columbia. We determined clear winners for the most popular treat in each state and overall, and how many states searched that treat the most."

Minnesota getting the Malt Cup makes sense, and would definitely be my go-to treat. What would yours be? Let us know on our station app!
