I mean Breakfast on the Farm....

Saturday June 18th was the annual Mower County Breakfast on the Farm. It is put on by the Mower County Farm Bureau. This year, breakfast on the farm was held at the Gene Anderson Farm in Waltham Minnesota. Just a short drive from Dexter.

This was not the first year the event was held at the Anderson Farm either. It was held at the farm back in 2006, and was one of the coldest events they have put on to the day. But, that's farming. Rain, Shine, Heat or Cold, the event goes on.

You could find 4H and FFA students all over the place talking about farming and helping the event go up without a flaw. They had equipment displays, inside they had a booths set up for anyone to ask questions. The Mower County Dairy Princesses were also there to talk, take pictures and visit with the crowd.

Activities included a Bounce house, a pedal tractor farm, you could milk "Star" the cow, and also there was demonstrations on drones. Which I got to fly for a little bit.

But breakfast was what had that building packed. Chris Cakes was serving pancakes, sausage and refreshments. I got to say, watching that was a show to.

But if you want to get out to Breakfast on the Farm, it is an event held every year. They do change the location, but we at KFIL and KVGO radio will always be there. Check with us, or visit the Minnesota Farm Bureaus website to find the date and time.

I couldn't have asked for a better day, and thanks to the Mower County Farm Bureau and the Gene Anderson Farm for putting on the event.
