Duluth Predator Gets 22-Year Sentence for Exploiting Minor
Duluth, MN (MinnesotaNow) - A Minnesota man with a prior conviction for sexual misconduct has been sentenced to 22 years in federal prison.
The Office of the U.S. Attorney for Minnesota says 33-year-old Dylan Alvan Reyna was prosecuted for luring a juvenile girl he met at a park in Duluth into a sexual relationship. Prosecutors say the victim was under the age of 16, describing her as uniquely vulnerable and receiving care for prior sexual abuse.

Reyna was accused of using coercive techniques to manipulate the victim as well as physical force. It was also alleged that he filmed the sexual encounters without the victim's knowledge.

After he was taken into custody, federal prosecutors say Reyna instructed the victim to lie to police and told an associate to delete various social media accounts in an unsuccessful effort to cover up his crimes. He was convicted of Coercion and Enticement of a Minor.
In his sentencing order, U.S. District Court Judge Jeffrey M. Bryan noted the aggravating circumstances in the case, writing: “Hands-on sexual abuse inflicts upon its victim immense and long-lasting harm. That the abuses inflicted on a child and then recorded and memorialized in child pornography adds devastating dimensions to the harm inflicted on minor victims.”
A news release concerning his sentencing indicates that, in 2021, Reyna entered a guilty plea to a third-degree criminal sexual conduct charge in St. Louis County involving force or coercion. In that case, he was given a stay of adjudication.
