If you're looking for a race to kick off the month of October, this might be just the one for you. There is still time to register for the Bridging The Gap ten mile race, which takes place in Duluth on Saturday, October 7th.

Registration for the race closes on Friday, October 6th at 5:30 p.m. The race is all for a good cause, as a portion of the proceeds benefit the 'Bridging The Gap Fund. This fund provides women with the resources they need to start, build and grow their businesses.

Of course, there isn't a place in Duluth that you could run that wouldn't be beautiful but this course is gorgeous. It starts at Hawk Ridge, continues along Skyline Parkway to Seven Bridges Road. From there, racers cross Amity Creek and finish the race along the Lakewalk near Leif Erickson Park.

It should also be noted that fall colors will be absolutely incredible at that time in Minnesota and especially in Duluth, meaning runners will have a chance to see them from above the city and as they weave through Duluth on the course.

Event + Registration Details

The run starts at 8 a.m. and you can only register online via the race website. There is no online registration. It costs eighty bucks to sign up and every finisher gets a special commemorative necklace.

Packet pickup is available on the Thursday and Friday before the race at Duluth Running Company. On Thursday, packet pickup is available from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. with packet pickup from noon to 6 p.m. on Friday.

Should you register for this race, you will get all other registration and packet pickup information sent to you via email. There will also be shuttles bringing you to the start of the race from the Rose Garden starting at 6:30 a.m.

There will be food and fun festivities at the finish line. There is also the option to use a drop bag for your belongings and aid stations throughout the course. See you at the finish line!
