Everyone who drives by the new Chick-fil-A built in front of the Miller Hill Mall in Duluth can see that progress is quickly progressing.

The building looks pretty complete on the outside with logos in place and recently the American flag could be seen flying proudly from the parking lot flag pole.

Of course, the general public has yet to see what the inside will look like, but Chick-fil-A Duluth has provided some hints as to what customers can expect.

For example, in the middle of October, they shared that customers in the dining room can expect to see and smell fresh flowers. They added that the hospitality team will water the flowers and have them ready to enjoy on every visit.

While that is certainly a nice touch, it was another social media post that caught many by surprise because it hadn't been previously disclosed that this feature would be built inside Duluth's new Chick-fil-A.

Chick-fil-A Duluth Announces A Family Friendly Feature That Kids Will Love

On October 21, Chick-fil-A shared that Northland kids who visit the new restaurant will get to have fun on an indoor playground that was installed "just in time for our snowy winter season to arrive".

They shared a video showing a quick glimpse of the playground, which includes a slide that is definitely not for full-grown adults, but you can't blame him for wanting to give it a try.

While that looks like fun for the kids, the big question is just when will the new Chick-fil-A be open in Duluth?

Opening Date Approaching For Chick-fil-A In Duluth

Last month Jon Farr, who has been with the company for nearly a decade, introduced himself as the owner-operator of Duluth's Chick-fil-A and shared a picture featuring his wife Emily and their four children. Farr grew up in Anchorage, Alaska so he added that Duluth felt like a "small piece of home."

That post was greeted by countless messages welcoming the family to the Northland and residents voicing their excitement about the restaurant opening in Duluth. Of course, the question asked a lot on the Chick-fil-A Duluth social media pages is "When are you opening?"

To its credit, they've been very responsive to questions and comments on social media and they did address that question. One response from the company said they planned to be open before "the snow flies".

While that may seem vague, especially in the Northland when the snow could fly at any time, I did get a little more clarification from Maggie, a member of the Chick-fil-A marketing team. When I reached out in the middle of October asking about an opening date, she said while they weren't ready to announce an exact date now, they expected to make that announcement in "the coming weeks".

Based on that information, I think it would be safe to assume that the plan is for Duluth's Chick-fil-A to be open ahead of, or at the beginning of the holiday shopping season. We will keep you posted.

For now, Chick-fil-A is building its Duluth team and you'd like to be a part of it if, they are hiring.
