Dozens of people reported seeing something strange in the sky over Duluth last Wednesday. On October 30th, the night before Halloween, an object silently moved across the sky. Some say it had a green glow to it.

I was sent a video from a friend who saw it over their house in upper Lincoln Park. At first glance, it looked rather peculiar.

I also saw on the Duluth page of Reddit that other people were asking if anyone knew what it was.

Some say it could have been a meteor burning up, or a comet. Neither of these is the answer.

Witnesses said they saw the streak then just vanish. Like, disappear right in the sky. That can be explained as well.

Don't get me wrong, I 100% believe in UAPs and things in our sky. But, it's important if we want to get to the bottom of the phenomenon to rule out reports like this. This is the single most common misidentified object in our skies in recent years. It's most likely Starlink.

My friend who sent me the video looked online to see if Starlink satellites were in the area. There's a tracker available to check for free. He said he didn't see it that night on the tracker, but it may not always be up to date.

Checking today, I see that a Starlink Satellite is on a trajectory to pass through Northern Minnesota.

The reason the object in the video disappears i because it reached a point where it no longer was reflecting light. The satellites don't have bright lights of their own. That's why it looks like it disappears.

You can normally tell if it's Starlink satellites because they move at the same speed and in the same direction.
