Minnesota Bakery Introduces ‘Top The Tater’ Scone + It’s Delicious
Top The Tater makes everything better. Even sometimes when you don't expect it. A couple years ago my cohost and I tried dipping Snickers bars in Top The Tater, and it was surprisingly good.
I heard about a business in Minnesota (and Wisconsin) that is now baking up a Top The Tater Scone. Naturally, I had to try it.
The scone was dreamed up by one of Duluth's Best Bread's employees, Rylan. They made up pilot batch and everyone at the bakery loved it. Not long after it was added to the menu and it's now a best seller.

Duluth's Best Bread has locations in Downtown Duluth, Lincoln Park, and Superior. Being that I live in Superior, we swung over to the 1418 Tower Avenue location to try the scone.
Duluth's Best Bread makes savory scones for customers mid-day, and they sell them after 4 pm. The savory items like the Pizza Danish, Top The Tater Scone, and Pastrami Swiss Cheese Mustard Croissant make a great heavy evening snack or light supper. They're open until 8 pm, and while I was there several people came in for a quick meal to grab for dinner.
Of course they still had the sweets, like from scratch pop tarts, croissants, caramel rolls, cinnamon rolls, and other scones. It was really hard to pick just a few items to bring home with us. The good news is we can always come back tomorrow. (Except they are closed on Mondays, FYI.)
