Did you know that famous actor Willem Dafoe is from Wisconsin? The award-winning actor known for his many roles over the years will be honored with the first star of 2024.

He was born in Appleton, Wisconsin, and graduated from Appleton East High School. He then studied drama at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee before moving to New York in 1976.

He will be the 2,768th person honored on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. The dedication will take place on Monday, January 8 at 11:30 AM Pacific Time / 9:30 AM Wisconsin time (CT).

There will be some famous guest speakers as well. Patricia Arquette will give a speech at the dedication. They recently starred together in the 2023 film Gonzo Girl.

Also in attendance and giving a speech will be Pedro Pascal. They've appeared in movies together and Pascal recently interviewed Willem Dafoe for Inside The Actor's Studio.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame describes Willem Dafoe as "an immensely talented and versatile actor who has become a prominent figure in the film industry."

He's been recognized with four Oscar nominations including Best Actor In A Supporting Role for three films: Platoon, The Florida Project, and Shadow Of The Vampire. He was nominated for Best Leading Actor for At Eternity's Gate.

Other notable films that have made Willem Dafoe famous include John Wick, The Boondock Saints, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Finding Nemo, and many more.

He is currently in Poor Things which is in theaters now and will soon appear in the upcoming Beetlejuice 2.
