Hoops Run Club Hosting Grandma’s Marathon Registration Run

This is one very fitting way to get into the Grandma's Marathon spirit on registration day! Organizers have just announced a fun run to celebrate.

In case you missed it, registration for all three races opens on Tuesday (October 1st!) This includes the full and half marathons, and the 5K.

Registration begins at 7 p.m. and all races typically sell out well in advance of race weekend. In fact, most sell out before the end of the year!

Registration Day Fun Run

Prior to registration, you are invited to Hoops Brewing for a special run along the Lakewalk. Hoops has a run club and all paces are welcome. The fun kicks off at 6 p.m. at Hoops.

That's just the beginning though. After the run, you are invited to a special event at the brewery, with two bucks off your first beer and a raffle for Grandma's Marathon swag!

There's no need to register. Instead, just show up and then get ready to register for the 2025 races right after while sipping on a beer!

More Changes

This new addition isn't the only change to the Grandma's Marathon festivities this year! The popular William A. Irvin 5K race will be a bit different this year.

It will still take place on the day before the full and half marathons but it will now take place at a new time! The 5K will now kick off at 1 p.m. rather than the dinner hour as usual. It will also have a new course.
