I have to say, this looks like a pretty healthy pack of wolves. Can you count how many? It's hard to say because they aren't all caught on camera at the same time, and some of them look alike. I think I count 8 or 9? That's a ton of wolves!

They were recorded on a wildlife camera that is set up on a frozen beaver pond in Northern Minnesota. It's part of the Voyageurs Wolf Project in the Voyageurs National Park near International Falls.

The Voyageurs Wolf Project studies the summer ecology of wolves in the Greater Voyageurs Ecosystem in Minnesota. They often share videos of all kinds of wildlife besides wolves. Voyageurs National Park is one of the most beautiful National Parks. It's a water navigation park, meaning all campsites are boat-in. Despite it being such a cool place, it was actually listed as one of the least visited National Parks in the United States.

"You can see the intelligence in their eyes!" one user commented. Toward the end of the video, you can see one of the wolves shake off some snow just like your dog would. It also looks like he has a wounder under his eye.

Most people have positive comments about how beautiful it is. However, there are those who believe the wolf population needs to be regulated to protect our deer and moose population. Deer hunting in Northern Minnesota has been dismal in recent years, and hunters have been complaining to the DNR about seeing more wolves than deer. Many have even quit hunting in Minnesota because of the wolf population.

Still, no matter where you stand on the wolf population, this video is a beautiful sight. There's something about seeing animals in the wild like this that reminds you that we share this planet with others.
