This is sad news ahead of Valentine's Day! A new study has named the top ten loneliest cities ahead of the Hallmark holiday.
The good news is that Duluth wasn't even under consideration here - only the biggest fifty cities in the country were!
This study was done just ahead of the holiday, and sadly it's not good news for some Minnesota residents.
One Minnesota city made the top five, meaning they have some of the loneliest residents in the entire country.

Minneapolis Residents Are Lonely
Minneapolis is the third loneliest city in the country. According to this study, Minneapolis residents come in second when it comes to the number of people looking to date online.

Not only that, but Minneapolis residents rank third when it comes to singles seeking guidance on feeling lonely. This is sad! Dating is definitely hard, especially in the age of social media.
What About Wisconsin?
Wisconsin made a name for itself here, with Milwaukee being named the 24th loneliest city in the country right now. That's not too bad! St. Paul didn't make the list at all.

This study looked at four different factors when coming up with this list, including the percentage of single-person households in each city, the number of people dating online, the social well-being score for the city and the number of people seeking help on how to deal with loneliness.
