Nurses are incredibly important and leave a big mark on people's lives. I know people that still talk about a nurse that was there for them during some of their darkest times in the hospital.

That's why there's a whole week dedicated to them - and it's perfect timing because Minnesota was just named one of the best states for nurses.

Minnesota Is The Eighth Best State For Nurses

Minnesota came in eighth in this study, which is pretty amazing! Part of what helped us crack the top ten? The number of health care facilities we have per capita in the state, and famous ones at that.

Minnesota also did well when it comes to work environment for nurses. Other factors considered in this study include nursing job openings per capita, annual nursing salary considering the cost of living, and more.

Wisconsin definitely didn't score as highly as Minnesota but didn't do too bad either, coming in at number twenty on this list.

As for the best state for nurses? That would be Washington, followed by New Hampshire, Oregon and Arizona. The worst states for nurses are North Dakota, Alabama and Oklahoma.

Thank you nurses for all you do! You definitely deserve a week of praise and then some. I hope all nurses are spoiled this month. If you have one you love, don't forget to nominate them for our annual National Nurses Week fun!
