Oh for cripe's sakes. There's a new movie that is supposed to be set in a Minnesota town, but it's not going to be filmed in the Land Of 10,000 Lakes. Why not?

There are some big stars in this one, too. It stars Bob Odenkirk, Henry Winkler, and Lena Headey. Bob Odenkirk is famous for roles in Better Call Saul, Breaking Bad, and Nobody, among others. Of course, you know Henry Winkler from Happy Days and many other films. He most recently received praise for his role in the HBO series "Barry." Lena Headey is best known for her work on The Game Of Thrones.

The movie Plot Is Set In a Tiny Minnesota Town

The movie is about a guy who becomes the substitute sheriff in a small town in Minnesota called "Normal." Variety explains that a local bank is robbed, and Odenkirk's character "unknowingly uncovers something far more explosive than a simple bank robbery."

John Wick, Nobody, Nobody 2 Producing Team

The screenplay was written by John Wick creator Derek Kolstad. The production team is the same crew that were behind Odenkirk's action movie "Nobody." If you haven't seen it, you should check out Nobody. It's a fun watch.

Principal Photography Underway In Winnipeg, Canada

I was excited to hear about Minnesota being featured in a movie, but then I read that it's being shot in Canada! Filming began last month in Winnipeg and will continue to shoot through December.

The film is being executively produced by Bonus Productions Canada, based in Winnipeg.

We'll have to see how Winnipeg's scenery compares to Minnesota. At least they'll get the time of year right with the same winter conditions we have here.
