A recent article has highlighted some cool places to visit across the United States. It breaks down the best destinations for tourists to go by each state. Being a native on Minnesota and seeing most of the state, I was curious to see what out-of-towners would say the best place to visit is.
World Population Review used data from Expedia to compile a list of the best destinations in each state. The data looked at how many travelers booked hotels near certain attractions and then compared them to the popularity of points of interest based on the search volume.
Minnesota's Top Destination Is Voyaguer's National Park
Did you know that Voyaguer's National Park is one of the least-visited National Parks in the United States? The big reason for that is because you really need a boat to fully enjoy the boat-in the national park.
World Population Review says that it's the top spot for nature lovers because Voyaguer has over 500 islands to explore and 655 miles of shoreline. It's perfect for canoeing, kayaking, boating, fishing, and hiking. You can literally camp on an island!

If you're lucky enough to get clear skies, you'll see some of the brightest stars you'll ever see in your life. It's been designated a dark sky location. It is so remote that there is no light pollution, and the stars shine bright. The only place I've seen stars this bright is at the top of a mountain in Colorado.
The Minnesota Great Get-Together Is Also A Top Destination
If nature isn't your thing, and you want to go somewhere with more entertainment, they suggest going to the Minnesota State Fair. We might be biased, but the Minnesota State Fair is better than other states. It takes place for 11 days from the end of August To Early September. There are shows, concerts, rides, and new food every year.
