Going forward, customers will only be able to order 12 items per transaction instead of 15. The company says the menu already includes other drinks with similar modifications, so there’s no need to offer these changes as add-ons. For Minnesotans who rely on their go-to custom drink, this adjustment could mean rethinking their usual order.

Why Starbucks is Making These Changes

According to Bloomberg, Starbucks is implementing these restrictions to speed up service and reduce overwhelming mobile order volumes that have been putting stress on baristas. The company has faced declining sales in recent years, and executives believe streamlining orders could help improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
