One of my favorite fundraiser events in the Twin Ports that is also free to attend showcases what local law enforcement K-9s and their partner handlers can do.

The Northland K9 Foundation will once again be hosting Operation K-9 on Thursday, August 1st from 4:30-8:00PM with a venue change from previous years.  For 2024 it will be held at Wessman Arena located at 2701 Catlin Ave in Superior, Wisconsin.

Free and open to the public, Operation K-9 is a great opportunity for you to meet some of the law enforcement pups and even take photos with them.  There will also be options for touring various law enforcement vehicles and plenty of family friendly activities like bouncy houses.

If you do come hungry, food will be available for purchase, along with K-9 themed souvenirs and a silent auction with all money raised going to support area law enforcement K-9 programs.

Having attended many of these events in the past, I can tell you it's a great time seeing the incredible work the K-9 teams can do, and how they work out in the field to help keep our community safe.
