The holidays are always joyful, bringing together family and friends for some good times and some good food.

Many people have some characters in their families, and some you don't get to see except for the holidays. You know it's a good time when y'all get together and cut up.

One TikToker broke down the different types of cousins in the family that show up to Thanksgiving, and it cracked me up because it is SO ACCURATE.

We all know this one. It's typically a high schooler or freshman in college. Your mom, aunt, or grandma will always say the ex-girlfriend's name or keep talking about the ex, sometimes just to be petty. If she brings up Christmas, you know you don't have to buy her a gift because she won't be around long enough.

Another popular one. Every year, they add to their team. They semi-show off the baby but then act like the world is ending if they cry even though they have 6. The budget for the Thanksgiving food keeps growing because of this one individual cousin who has the gift that keeps on giving...and crying.

Possibly my favorite cousin to appear, even if it's for like 10 minutes. They're always "busy" or "just passing through" -- in reality, they don't want to be there because they want to go to Friendsgiving or they had to show up to keep their parents quiet. One time, I had a cousin do this and the food was his post-bar hopping food. Can't be mad at it.

Don't lie: you immediately said a cousin's name without hesitation. Come super late, smell like loud, eat everything, disappear for like 20 minutes, and come back for a longer-than-usual nap. Everyone knows, but no one says anything. As usual.

Which one are you? Happy Thanksgiving, y'all.
