Casting For ‘Survivor’ Coming To This Minnesota Location
SURVIVOR COMING TO MINNESOTA?
Could this be true? And if it's true? When is it happening? Where will the competitors be dropped, and the biggest question of all: will you be a part of it?
Survivor is searching for Season 51 contestants right now that will be filmed between April and May of 2026. That might sound like a long time out, but if you want to audition, the time to apply is now.
I saw something that made me think they were coming to Minnesota. See the Facebook post below! It says that Survivor will be coming to the Mall of America!

IS SURVIVOR COMING TO MINNESOTA?
If they are looking for Minnesotans, I thought it might be important for you to know how to audition. It's not a simple process. The truth is, you better be internet and social media savvy, or know someone who can help you, because they aren't just looking for a quick TikTok 10-second video of you working out; they want to get to know you. They want to see authenticity; they want to see your facial expressions. They want to hear you respond to people's questions. They want to see something that is interesting.
The video below is from Jesse Tannenbaum, the Casting Director for Survivor. He says that you'll want to turn in a REAL audition tape.

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW TO MAKE AN AUDITION TAPE FOR SURVIVOR
Here is a list of things you should know before you turn in your audition tape:
- Don't wear a hat
- Don't wear sunglasses
- Don't shoot your video in a dark living room
- Take advantage of great lighting.
- Going outside is great, but find a place where you won't have any background distractions
- Film at a time when you can speak clearly and show your personality. (If the babies are sleeping in the room next door, and you are whispering, that is NOT the time to film.)
- Love filters? Don't use them. You're not going to be filtered when you are on Survivor, and they can tell if you're using one, so don't waste your time.
- Be detailed and descriptive of why you think you should be on Survivor. They don't just want to hear about your abilities. They want to know about your life.
THE BIGGEST ADVICE OF ALL
Jessie says the most important thing for your audition tape is to NOT make a script. They don't want something scripted. If you are not good at just communicating, if you're not comfortable when the camera is on, if you can't make a connection naturally, they aren't going to choose you.
OPEN CALLS
Open Calls are held by local CBS affiliates, so follow Survivor on Facebook, and make sure you check with your local CBS affiliate and make sure you don't miss your opportunity.
