Apparent Accidental Shooting by 14-Year-old Claims Minnesota Teen’s Life
Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News)- Police in Minneapolis suspect a shooting that claimed the life of a Minnesota teenager was an accident.

A news release issued by the Minneapolis Police Department says the fatal incident occurred around 1:30 Tuesday morning at a residence in the 2400 block of Ferrant Pl.
Responding officers found the victim suffering from a single gunshot wound. Police administered life-saving measures but the boy was pronounced dead at the scene. He was 13 years old.
14-Year-Old Boy Booked Following Apparent Accidental Fatal Shooting of 13-Year-Old in Minneapolis
The preliminary investigation indicates a 14-year-old boy was handling the gun when the 13-year-old victim was shot.
Two adult women and a third juvenile were in the home at the time. They were not hurt. Minneapolis police say the teens are known to them.
The 14-year-old remained at the scene and was booked into the Hennepin County Juvenile Detention Center following the fatal shooting.
Authorities say the sequence of events that led up to the shooting are under investigation.
