Authorities Probe Suspicious Death Near Southern Minnesota Town
Lake Crystal, MN (KROC-AM News) - Authorities in the Mankato area are investigating a suspicious death.
The Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office says deputies were sent to a home near Lake Crystal Thursday evening after a 911 caller reported finding a friend unresponsive in the residence. A news release says first responders determined the woman was dead shortly after arriving at the scene.
The Sheriff's Office describes the circumstances surrounding her death as suspicious. The incident is being investigated with assistance from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office.
The woman's name has not been released. Blue Earth County officials have indicated that they do not believe there is any threat to the general public.
