Bail Forfeited and Arrest Warrant Issued For Rochester Man
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - An arrest warrant has been issued for a Rochester man was skipped bail by failing to report for a required hearing last week in Olmsted County Court.
36-year-old Shueb Abshir Noor was arrested in April of last year after Rochester police were called to an apartment complex in southeast Rochester to investigate a report of an altercation involving a firearm. When officers arrived, they met with a man who told them that he was walking his daughter home from school when he was assaulted by three males who took issue with the music he was listening to.
The criminal complaint in the case says the victim was punched by the men and then was pursued by them as he and his daughter fled to their apartment. The victim told police his attackers were kicking and pounding on the door, and when he briefly opened it, Noor pointed a black and gold handgun at him.
The charges state that the officers located the three males in another apartment at the complex, where Noor and the two others were arrested. The court document says a search warrant was issued and it led to the discovery of a black and gold handgun and magazine in a closet. The complaint also states that Noor was found in possession of nearly 500 fentanyl pills.
He is charged with second-degree drug sales, second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, and second-degree riot involving a dangerous weapon.
His conditional bail, which was set at $25,000, was forfeited after he failed to show up in court.
