Charges Against Rochester Treatment Center Employee Dismissed
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Olmsted County Attorney's Office has decided to drop the charges brought against a Stewartville woman that accused her of sexually assaulting two men while she was an employee of a local treatment facility.
A motion to dismiss the charges was filed in Olmsted County Court late last week and indicates that there is "insufficient evidence for the State to prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt." The criminal complaint had accused 44-year-old Heidi Lynn Aarre of third-degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct. All three charges involved a prohibited occupational relationship.
The court documents say a man who was a voluntary residential client of the Oakridge Treatment Center in rural Northeast Rochester alleged Aarre sexually assaulted him while she was briefly employed at the facility between November 1, 2021, and January 8, 2022, and that she provided him with gifts of CBD edibles, THC spray, cigarettes, and cash. The criminal complaint also stated that another client of the treatment center spoke with investigators after completing his treatment and reported having sexual relations with Aarre.
The court record states that investigators spoke with Aare, who admitted starting a relationship with the second man and kissing him, but she denied further sexual contact. She also denied having any sexual contact with the first victim and claimed that he was blackmailing her.
