Brownsdale, MN (KROC-AM News)- A toddler was among three people injured in a southeast Minnesota crash Wednesday.

A GMC SUV and Chevy SUV were involved in the two-vehicle crash. It happened in Mower County shortly after 10:45 a.m. 

The SUVs crashed at the intersection of Hwy. 56 and Main St. in Brownsdale. The State Patrol says the GMC was heading west on Main St. and the Chevy was traveling south on Hwy. 56.

31-year-old Geniva Christine Alers of Hayfield was driving the GMC. She and one of her passengers, a 2-year-old Hayfield girl, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Two infants also riding in the GMC were not hurt.

52-year-old Dana Elise Nordin of Golden Valley was identified as the Chevy SUV driver and was the lone occupant in the vehicle. She also suffered non-life-threatening injuries. 

All three of the injured people were taken to a hospital in Austin for further care.

Alcohol was not involved and Alers was the only person not buckled up, according to the state crash report. 

The Mower County Sheriff’s Office, Mayo Clinic Ambulance and Brownsdale Fire and Rescue also responded to the crash scene.
