Drug Overdose Suspected in 22-Year-Old Rochester Man’s Death

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester police say evidence of possible drug use was found near the body of a suspected drug overdose victim over the weekend.

Police Captain Casey Moilanen says police and other emergency responders were called to a residence in the 1200 block of 3rd Avenue Southeast Saturday morning after a family member discovered the 22-year-old man outside on a porch around 10:45 AM. The officers reported locating some tinfoil and a straw near the young man's body.

His name has not been released. An autopsy has been ordered to make an official determination on the cause of his death.
