Bowlus, MN (KROC-AM News) - A bicyclist died Tuesday after being struck by a semi-truck in central Minnesota.

The Morrison County Sheriff's Office says the deadly incident was reported around 11:20 AM near the town of Bowlus, about 10 miles south of Little Falls. A news release says the victim was driving her bike on a trail that intersected a two-lane rural highway just south of Bowlus when she was killed.

The victim was identified as 79-year-old Cyrilla Michael of Freeport. The Sheriff's Office says she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the truck was identified as 70-year-old Kenneth Wennsman of Bowlus. He was not injured.

The Minnesota State Patrol, Mayo Clinic Ambulance, the Royalton Police Department, Bowlus First Responders, and the Bowlus Fire Department assisted Morrison County deputies at the scene.
