Police Shoot & Kill Woman Who Pointed Gun at Officers in St. Paul
St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities are investigating a deadly officer-involved shooting in St. Paul.

Preliminary information released by the St. Paul Police Department says the shooting occurred Monday night.
Officers responded to the report of a suicide in progress in the 1100 block of Rose Avenue East shortly after 7:15 p.m. Upon arrival a person inside of residence yelled for help and directed officers to a room in the back of the home, officials say.
A news release issued by St. Paul Police says the woman produced a handgun and pointed it at the officers who were speaking with her. The officers responded by firing their weapons and striking the woman with the discharged bullets.
Police then provided aid to the woman and called St. Paul Medics to respond to the home for assistance. The medics pronounced the woman dead at the scene, the news release says.
No officers were injured. St. Paul Police say they have requested the Minnesota Bureau (BCA) of Criminal Apprehension lead the investigation into the fatal officer-involved shooting.
The BCA posted on X around 10 p.m. that its agents responded to the scene.
The officers involved in the shooting were wearing body cameras that were filming during the deadly incident and the BCA plans to review the footage, the news release says.
St. Paul Police say the officers involved in the deadly shooting have been placed on administrative leave, which is standard protocol for officers who fire their service weapons.

The names of the woman and officers involved in the fatal shooting have not yet been released.
