Officials say a detour will be associated with the project.

Stretch of Hwy. 30 Near Rochester Airport Set to be Resurfaced Next Summer
Crews are set to resurface a 3-mile stretch of Hwy. 30 next summer. The work zone runs from Hwy. 63 to 44th Ave. SW, which is in the area of the Rochester Airport and Oak Summit Golf Course.
Along with resurfacing work, crews will also replace the Willow Creek Culvert, which is on the eastern edge of the future work zone and repair multiple other culverts in the area. Work to improve drainage is also planned.
A month-long detour, tentatively scheduled to begin in Mid-August, is planned during the culvert replacement, MnDOT says.
Flaggers and a pilot car will control traffic through the intersection, according to the project’s website. The highway will resume to being two lanes during non-work hours.
MnDOT is hosting a public meeting about the $2 million project on December 10. It runs from 4-6 p.m. at Operating Engineers Local 49, located at 1765 Hwy. 30 in Rochester.
