Members of the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota River Valley Drug Task Force made the arrest shortly after midnight on Saturday after observing the man sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle parked in the lot of an off-campus housing complex located near the Minnesota State-Mankato parking campus.

Law officers reported seeing several people walk up the vehicle, enter it briefly before exiting, an activity authorities believed was indicative of drug sales

Sheriff’s deputies moved in and arrested the man, identified as 34-year-old Dominique Lamar Breham. Authorities found Breham in possession of suspected cocaine weighing 62.6 grams and 790 suspected counterfeit oxycodone pills believed to be laced with fentanyl, according to a statement issued Tuesday by Minnesota River Valley Drug Task Force.

Officials say Breham was serving the supervised release portion of a sentence that’s set to expire in October. His criminal record includes convictions for drug and weapons related crimes.

Breham was booked into the Blue Earth County Jail on suspicion of two counts of 1st-degree-controlled substance sales and two counts of 1st-degree-controlled substance possession. His first appearance in court has not yet been set.
