One Killed and One Critically Hurt in Apple Valley Crash
Apple Valley, MN (KROC-AM News) - One person was killed and another was critically injured in a traffic crash yesterday in Apple Valley.
A news release issued by the Apple Valley Police Department says the deadly collision was reported just before 3:50 PM on Pilot Knob Road at an intersection with a residential street about 2 miles northwest of Rosemount High School. When officers arrived at the scene with emergency responders they found both drivers suffering from severe injuries.
One of the motorists was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was transported to a local hospital with what were described as life-threatening injuries.
Apple Valley police say the preliminary investigation suggests the deceased driver failed to yield to the other vehicle which was traveling north on Pilot Knob Road.
The name of the victim has not been released.
The Minnesota State Patrol is assisting with the investigation.
