
Red Wing Business Owner Arrested in Major Drug Bust
Red Wing, MN (KROC-AM News) - The owner of a southeastern Minnesota business was arrested Friday following a major drug bust in Red Wing.
Federal Agents Assisted in Drug Investigation
The Red Wing Police Department is reporting that its officers, along with federal agents and members of the Minnesota Southeast Violent Crimes Task Force, executed a search warrant at Red Wing Glass and a residence in Pierce County, Wisconsin, where the Sheriff's Office assisted with the investigation. The owner of the business, Shawn Coulette, was taken into custody on suspicion of first-degree drug sales and possession.
5 Pounds of Suspected Methamphetamine
A news release issued by Red Wing police states that the investigation resulted in the seizure of approximately 5 pounds of suspected methamphetamine and a large amount of cash.
“The amount of suspected methamphetamine recovered in this case represents a serious threat to public safety,” said Red Wing Police Chief Nick Sather. “This investigation reflects our department’s continued commitment to disrupting drug trafficking in Red Wing, especially when that activity is connected to local properties or businesses. We appreciate the partnership and assistance of Homeland Security Investigations.”

The news release indicates the investigation remains active and ongoing.
