Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester Police Department has released some additional information concerning a fatal crash that occurred on Saturday at the entrance to Apache Mall.

The three vehicle crash, with one of the vehicles being a State Patrol squad car, occurred around 5:45 PM and resulted in the death of an Owatonna High School student. Olivia Flores was 18 years old, and according to family members, was set to graduate from high school in just a few weeks.

According to preliminary information from the ongoing investigation by the Rochester Police Department Forensic Mapping the Unit, the young woman was a passenger in a Ford Focus that apparently collided with the State Patrol vehicle when the driver attempted to take a left turn from westbound 12th Street Southwest into Apache Mall. The State Patrol squad car was traveling east on 12th Street at the time.

The Ford Focus then collided with a Toyota RAV4 that was leaving Apache Mall and waiting to turn east on to 12th Street The SUV ended up in the ditch.

A news release on the incident identified 21-year-old Angelina Bartz of Owatonna as the driver of the Ford Focus. Her passengers were Flores and 19-year-old Katerina Bartz of Owatonna.

The State Trooper was identified as 32-year-old Shane Roper, who was assigned to the State Patrol Rochester District. He had a passenger for a ridealong who was identified as 20-year-old Peter Meyer of Zumbrota.

They, along with the occupants of the Ford Focus, were transported to St. Mary's Hospital for medical treatment. With the exception of the deceased teenager, information about their medical condition is not known.

The two occupants of the SUV suffered minor injuries and were not transported to the hospital. They were identified as 36-year-old Emie Pasco of Owatonna and12-year-old Gabriela Parker of Owatonna.

A GoFundMe online fundraiser has been created to benefit the family of the young woman who died as a result of the crash.
