Update: Police ID Victim of Deadly Shooting at Rochester Shopping Center

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester police have released the names of the two suspects who were arrested in connection with the fatal shooting Saturday afternoon.

Isaac Gutierrez and Jose Gutierrez Ojeda were both taken into custody almost immediately after Rochester police responded to reports of a shooting in the parking lot next to the Chick-fil-A restaurant in the Crossroads Shopping Center shortly after 2 PM yesterday. Isaac Gutierrez is being held in the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center on suspicion of second-degree murder while Gutierrez Ojeda is awaiting arraignment for probable cause second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.

Their arrests followed the discovery of a third man suffering from a gunshot wound to the back of his head in the shopping center parking lot. The victim was rushed to St. Mary's Hospital where he later died from his injuries. His name has not been released.

A statement issued by Rochester police following the deadly incident says a preliminary investigation indicated the shooting occurred after an altercation in the parking lot. Additional information about the circumstances surrounding the man's murder is expected to be released on Monday.
